A Bullet Journal Convert

A Bullet Journal Convert

Well, I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon of Bullet Journaling thanks to Amy, Amanda, and Kim. I’ve been seeing it around but hadn’t been able to make the leap until now. Only I wouldn’t call it bullet journaling. For me, it is more like a Daybook which, I suppose, is just like a journal. But I have always associated journaling with writing; writing out sentences, long paragraphs with detailed description. Of course, this is why they call it BULLET journaling because you are taking that and condensing it all down to a list, so to speak – like a planner, or Daybook if you will.

Okay, okay… so anyway… I am a Bullet Journal convert. There, I said it.

I first heard about this from Miss Zoot, on her blog. Then, I saw where another Rocket City Blogger – Amanda – gave it a try. The other day, when a bunch of had lunch together, I saw the Bullet Journal in real life via Amy and after seeing it in person, I was hooked and had to give it a try.

The only thing is that I just purchased a very nice monthly calendar that I love oh so very much. I still plan to use it, I’ll just use it differently now. Instead of carrying it around with me everywhere, I’ll leave it on my desk and I’ll be able to fill everything out in advance and let it serve as my Master Calendar, of sorts, and then I can carry my EVERYTHING DAYBOOK (Bulletized) around with me.

Look, though, I already messed up the new Bullet Journal by starting it off completely wrong! I put the first calendar thing on the right hand side of the book instead of the left hand side like the video and instructions say to do. Oh well, whatever.

This will probably take some getting used to BUT I like that fact that I now have a way of using ONE book for EVERYTHING. Now I don’t feel the need to keep separate notebooks for work, personal, blogging, and other projects. I am going to give this a serious try and report back later.

Happy planning my Little Love Bunnies,

Well crap, now I HAVE to go out and purchase a new journal (as if I need an excuse!) Hi Carol Ann. My name is Sadie, and I am a journal addict. I LOVE the feeling of pen on paper and the allure of a fresh journal, planner, or notebook is irresistible to me.

BTW, I found your blog via Conni over at The Foodie Army Wife, and I love it. I can’t wait to read more.

Anyone who begins their introduction and sentence with “Well crap” is a total friend of mine! I love it and do it all the time. Ha! Welcome to the blog. Looking forward to getting to know you too.
