Belk at Bridge Street Beauty Must-Haves
Belk at Bridge Street Beauty Must-Haves
It’s been a little over a year now since I switched from corporate office job to retail. I am still loving retail, when we are busy. It can be exhilarating to be busy in retail.
When we are not busy, it can become a little maddening and stressful. So I try to think of blog topics during our down time. It is inevitable. There is downtime in retail. It’s just a fact.
So, I came up with this blog topic probably during a Monday mid-morning slow day on the job.
I decided I would ask all of the counter managers in the cosmetics section of Belk what their Must-Haves were, if they could pick out ONE thing from their line, what would it be and why.
Here are their answers: Belk at Bridge Street Beauty Must-Haves.
Mina from Bobbi Brown insists that her number 1 must-have is the long wear gel liner. It was invented by Bobbi Brown herself, and patented. She is the one who created the first ever gel liner. Get the precision of a liquid liner while it is smooth in application. The gel liner will dry fast for an unyielding staying power. $25.00 at Belk Bridge Street and get this, comes 22 different shades! Unheard of!
Katie from LaMer – a new luxury skincare line at Belk – recommends a moisturizer. Not just any moisturizer but their Creme de La Mer Moisturizer. It comes in three different textures; the original, soft cream, and gel cream.
Sylvia from Estee Lauder suggests their Advanced Nigh Repair serum. It is their #1 night repair serum and fights all signs of aging. Sort of like a one-stop treatment.
Anita from Lancome touts the praises of Genifique. A serum concentrate that brings back youthful radiance. Suggested usage is 2x a day and you will see results in a week.
Percilla from Clinique says that their number one must-have would be the Smart Serum. It is a power house treatment that fights aging, sun damage, discoloration. Two drops morning and night and you will see a 54% improvement in your skin within 4 weeks.
Janet from So-Mod immediately and emphatically said, hands-down, that Baby Foot is flying off the shelves. It is a treatment that apparently no pedicure can come close to doing. I’ve heard all about it and it sounds gross and disgusting but people are raving about it. And this is one of those products that actually does what it says it will do. $25.00 deep skin exfoliant for your feet.
Terrell and Christina from the Benefit counter recommends their Party Poppers. Basically it is a 12-Days of Christmas Advent calendar full of product! A $93.00 value for only $45.00 I am so getting this for my daughter for Christmas. Comes with two of the star products; They’re Real and POREfessionals. It also contains skincare, highlighters, and makeup. I’ve seen the packaging, so cute!
Tonya and Kimberly from Chanel talk about their LeBlanc Intense Brightening Foam Cleanser. It is NOT a makeup remover however. Gently cleanses leaving your skin feeling soft, clean, and glowing.
Kiehl’s (from my own personal experience) – and it is definitely hard to select just one product but if I have to I would choose ANY of their hair care products; shampoos & conditioners. It just depends on what type of hair care you are looking for but they have a wide-variety. I have used their shampoo and conditioners before and I LOVE THEM. I need to buy some more.
The ladies from MAC recommend their Retro Matte lipstick in Ruby Woo. It has a blue undertone so it will look great on any skin tone and it will help your teeth look whiter.
And then we have Jo Malone London. 🙂 Kylvin says he cannot live without the Wood Sage & Sea Salt hand and body wash. Great scent for men and women, fresh and spirited and takes you away to the English Coast. Me? I recommend our Vitamin E body scrub.
So that’s it. That just about covers all the cosmetic counters. I hope you all stop by and see us at Belk Bridge Street. HINT – go to the second floor parking garage to get a spot up close.
