A #MoxieFit50 Progress Report

It’s only been three weeks since starting my little personal #MoxieFit50 challenge. But still, I wanted to update the blog (and you) with A #MoxieFit50 Progress Report. How am I doing?

A #MoxieFit50 Progress Report

And I will continue to update the blog (and you) with progress reports along the way. It helps keep me accountable.

  1. I’ve lost 4.4 pounds since starting.
  2. I’ve PR’d a few movements in CrossFit: I can now do a kipping handstand pushup. And jump up on a 20″ box.
  3. My eating habits have improved greatly – meats and vegetables. And I am noticing I don’t need as much food either. But I do eat a lot. I eat 4 times a day.
  4. I was able to visit a CrossFit box in Atlanta when I was on travel. No excuses!

I have breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. And while I eat four times a day, I am eating smaller portions and better quality of food. Adding fiber to my diet has helped tremendously as well.

Breakfast usually consists of a small corn tortilla with black beans and one egg scrambled with 1 teaspoon of avocado. The egg/avocado mixture is fried up in a small pan like a pancake and then placed on top of the black beans on a small corn tortilla. I top it all off with some salsa. Yum!

Then lunch is whatever we had for dinner the night before. The Gent has meticulously and thoughtfully prepared our meals with my challenge in mind. We’ve pretty much been doing paleo. Just the other day he even fixed mashed-up cauliflower as a substitute for mashed potatoes. And they were DELICIOUS!

I’ve also added a protein drink to my post workouts.

This week I don’t feel like I’ve lost any weight but we’ll see when I weigh in on Tuesday of next week. But I feel smaller if that makes any sense. I am not bloated or swollen. I feel great and my clothes fit better.

I started off at 177 lbs. and now I am currently at 172.6

On the weekends I’ve started to jog/walk approximately 3 miles.

So, I’ve been working out pretty much 6 days a week. And quite honestly? I feel freakin’ fantastic!

It feels good to work hard for something.
