Portsmouth, Ohio

Portsmouth, Ohio is the place where I grew up most of my childhood and adolescence. And it is the topic of today’s #BlogSpringFever; name a place you recently traveled.

I traveled back home for my niece’s wedding. Here is a short video montage of that visit.

Portsmouth, Ohio

The town had its heyday but that was probably back in the 60s and possibly 70s. Nowadays it is a ghosttown. It’s a shame too because it has some history and it has potential.

I wish I had a ton of money, I’d invest. However, my sister tells me they are building a bypass and so there goes whatever traffic DOES go through there right now. :: sigh ::

Too bad, it’s a shame. I hate to see small little towns like this being forgotten and left to dwindle and die.

As my hometown, I do have some good memories from this place. A lot of firsts, that is for sure.

To name a few –

  • First kiss.
  • First Big Mac.
  • First job.
  • First car.

So,that’s the last place I traveled recently. What about you?
